This is an excellent story and excellent information on resveratrol. There are some questions that need to be answered going forward such as: What is the best type of resveratrol? What is the proper dosage? Are there any risks? Let's get more research going. Very interesting!

Hi Clarence,

It truly is a great story. I am excited to see how the Sirtris human trials turn out but we'll have to be patient as they can take years to complete.

The questions you ask are good ones and while I have my opinions on the answer to those questions they are merely just that, opinions not supported by scientific evidence. There are several studies ongoing with regards to resveratrol in humans and I believe we'll learn plenty more over the next year or two.

As for definitive answers on resveratrol's potential anti-aging abilities we may have to wait 50+ years to find out for sure. Maybe we can continue this discussion when I am pushing 120 years old.

Thanks for visiting the site,
Markus
